Instructors are certified by the American Canoe Association (ACA) and tailor every clinic to your needs. Whether you are interested in an introduction to the sport or taking your skills to the next level with a playboating, river rescue, or other clinic, Zoar’s school has a course for you.

Learning to kayak is easy! You can start at almost any age and your progress is limited only by your adventurous spirit! Zoar’s instructional paddling programs are set up to offer a variety of ways to enter the sport and a number of paths to follow once you have the basics down:

• Kayaking for Beginners: (2-Day, 3-Day, 5-Day Novice)
• Advanced Beginner and Intermediate Kayaking: (2-Day, 3-Day Class II, 1-Day, 2-Day Class III)
• Canoeing Instruction (Novice Solo and Tandem, Class III)
• Kayak Rolling Classes (Basic, Combat, Pool Rolling)
• Freestyle Kayaking Clinics (Freestyle Fundamentals, Advanced Freestyle)

For families who want to kayak together, Zoar offers two-day parent/child clinics and a five-day Family Kayak Week that allows each family member to go at their own pace, while enjoying each other's company and support on the river. Kids are learning to kayak now at a faster rate than ever. Zoar’s one- to four-day Kids Kayak Craze is designed to get kids excited about kayaking while teaching them the basics of safety and technique.

Zoar also offers guided river runs for those with class II and above skills who want to gain experience on rivers or paddle a new river under the leadership of qualified instructors:
