The meals served are hearty and sumptuous, complete with fresh fruits and vegetables. The menu spares no expense in order to bring you fine foods in a wilderness atmosphere. Wake up to pancakes, omelets or eggs cooked to order, complemented by bacon or sausage, toast, juice and plenty of coffee or tea. Satiate your appetite at lunch with a delicious spread of cold cuts and cheese on assorted breads, with hummus and veggies in soft pitas, or tasty taco salad in roll-your-own burritos; don’t forget a cookie or six for dessert, or a fruit salad and a cool drink. At the dinner table, the guides’ cooking skills truly shine. Snack on hors d'oeuvres while you wait for fresh green salads, vegetables, and the main course: steak, grilled salmon or perhaps Dutch oven lasagna. Vegetarian options are available if you tell them of your preference ahead of time. If you can find room, there will always be something for dessert - possibly even a freshly baked cake or cobbler.

Trip Itinerary
Day 1: After meeting at the Signal Mountain boat ramp at 8:00am, you'll be transported to Yellowstone National Park. A three-hour sea kayaking trip concludes about 12:30 or 1:00pm with a deli-style lunch. O.A.R.S. then transports you from Grant Village to Flagg Ranch where you launch in the rafts on the Snake River and paddle the upper seven-mile section of the Snake River. Upon reaching the head of Jackson Lake, transfer to sea kayaks for a short paddle to the overnight location at Colter Camp on the western shore of Jackson Lake, and enjoy dinner and the sunset beneath the Tetons.
Day 2: After a hearty breakfast, paddle sea kayaks along the western shore of Jackson Lake, to Grassy Island located in Moran Bay. This secluded place is camp for the next two nights. There are several short hiking options available during the day. Keep your eyes open for moose, elk, pronghorn antelope, fox, beaver, black bear, mule deer, bighorn sheep, and coyote that are found in the area.
Day 3: The paddle on flat water continues along the southern shore of Jackson Lake. Enjoy beautiful views of the Tetons, and hikes to Bearpaw and /or Leigh lakes. Return to Grassy Island for another night of fantastic wilderness cuisine and camping beneath the starry sky.
Day 4: At your pace, a big day of paddling to the next camp offers unparalleled views of the southern shore of Jackson Lake before arriving at camp in Spalding Bay. From here, encounter some of the most spectacular sweeping views of the Tetons.
Day 5: After kayaking a short distance from Spalding camp to Signal Mountain, leave the sea kayaks behind and transfer in vans to the Snake River near Pacific Creek. Rafts are waiting for the ten-mile peaceful meander along the base of the Grand Teton on the Snake River. You may see moose browsing on willow, or yellow-bellied marmot sunning on the rocks. Take-out is near Deadman’s Bar, with return a late afternoon to Signal Mountain Boat Ramp.
