Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Sample 4-Day Itinerary Your guides will meet you at the ferry landing on Orcas Island where Crystal Seas Kayaking will shuttle to the launching spot and then gear up, go over a kayak safety lesson and then paddle along the shoreline of Cascade Bay where you might see bald eagles perched in old Douglas fir trees, or great blue herons wading in the shallow bay searching for its lunch. Tonight, stay at Rosario Resort where you can go for an evening swim in the cliffside pool and then meet your fellow kayakers for dinner in the Moran Mansion.
Day 2: After breakfast, shuttle to the ferry and then head to San Juan Island. Here, paddle around Henry Island where you can see a cormorant nesting area and have lunch on a small secluded beach. Tonight, stay at the Friday Harbor House. Here you can enjoy a whirlpool jetted bath set next to a crackling fireplace in your private room. Watch the ferry dock from your spectacular view during dinner tonight at one of Friday Harbor's finest restaurants -The Friday Harbor House Restaurant or Vinny’s.
Day 3: Today, head out along the west side of San Juan Island to paddle below amazing cliffs with views of the Olympic Mountain Range searching for orcas, dolls porpoise, pigeon guillemots, seals and everything else that the San Juan Islands are well known for. Afterwards you can relax back in Friday Harbor at the Friday Harbor House or check out downtown.
Day 4: Today, launch from a new location off of San Juan Island depending what your interests are. Sstop for lunch one last time on the beach and then head back to the ferry landing in Friday Harbor where your tour will come to an end.
