Jim Gonski, Owner
Jim has been kayaking for over 30 years and has lived in Alaska for over 25 years. He is a certified instructor in kayaking with the American Canoe Association, certified in swift water rescue, and has advanced wilderness first aid certification. Jim spent his youth taking month long journeys into the remote areas of Alaska and now loves to share those special places with visitors to the state.
Every member of the Alaska Kayak Academy (AKA) staff loves to share Alaska. Everyone loves to be outdoors no matter what the weather. We only do small group trips and we like our trips to be active. If you want a family environment, you like to be active and involved, then we have an adventure for you.
